After the Winter War, invalids from the war of liberation were moved to Kyyhkylä along with their families from the areas ceded by Finland, as well as more than 2,000 migrants in summer 1944. During the Winter War, Kyyhkylä housed the Headquarters’ administrative and organisational division, as well as the military police commander and his staff.
